  • 38xx sliding cabin door-gctid808766

My sliding cabin door has a 1/4-1/2" gap between its edge (opposite handle side) and the cabin bulkhead. Has anyone come up with or devised a clean, non obtrusive, seal or trim to lessen or close the gap? I looked at my local box store and yes, I could make something work but it would also take away from the aesthetically pleasing, teak door and bulkhead.

I am feeling good about my boat if this is my most pressing project. I just splashed today after completing hull wax and bottom paint. I am one who always needs a project but after a laborious week, looking for a less physical project but an obtainable one.

    Thanks!

Glauben has the same gap and Its too low on my list right now. I'm stumped on the rub, or how to rub to seal the teak or to figure out an interlock on the bulkhead and the door to form the seal.

The frame may be warped, check it with a straight edge.

If warped then you may need to buy some matching wood and re-enforce it, cannot say much unless we see it or have more info, such as a picture.

        Hi Cory

You might try "Googleing" brush door sweeps...friend of mine used one on his pilot house doors.

        Good luck Brad

Not sure but if it's the same as my 37 you can adjust the rollers on the bottom of the door with a long Allen key

My door dragged and didn't align
