EH 700 Hino- Which K and N filter?-gctid807595

Well-Finally purchased and brought home my new 1986 3870 Explorer.

I have much to do to get her up to snuff- I want to install new K & N filters-

From what I have learned on this forum there are two that can be used on the 175Hp Hinos-

RU -0960 or. RU -1000

I'm under the impression that the RU -1000 allow you to mount a little closer to the PVC tube-

Is the other unit better for other reasons?

Most use the RU1000s. i think they are the same filter, just offset slightly.
