    38xx Air Conditioning Amp Draw-gctid807167

I would measure this but am not at the boat - What do the air conditioning units draw each under steady state and what does the raw water pump aka "A/C Relay" draw? I working on my solar set up and I am thinking about moving all AC and heat to one 30A bus, sourcing everything else from the other bus powered by inverter. This approach will eliminate a transfer switch and/or reduce the requirement for a lot of pass-through current on the inverter/charger (= less $$) .

Not too worried about heaters as a) in south and b) likely will swap one aircon unit for a heat pump style

    thanks in advance.

    Hi Kev_rm

Not at my boat either but as memory serves it's 15 A on start up and will settle down to 12 A depending on Settings as for the AC relay I don't know most likely a couple amps.the 45s are set up like your talking about ...AC / Heaters on line 3. Hope this helps....Good luck Brad
