    Shower faucet-gctid397335

I have a 2001 3788 and we had a problem with breaking one of the valves on the shower faucet over the 4th. The worst part was that we couldn't turn off the cold water side, so we had to keep turning off and on the potable water breaker on the panel when we wanted to use the water. The repair is probably straight forward once your get the fixture off, but I can't readily determine how to remove the fixture to get underneath it. There must be an easy way to get it off from above, since I can't imagine coming from the underside, but I don't want to force it and break anything. I might look for and upgraded fixture vs. a repair if they are a universal size.

    Thanks - Open Wide

I went back down to the boat to further investigate. You can get access to the underside of the faucet by removing the floor of the cabinet behind the head and with my maximum reach of a 6'5" man could barely reach the plastic nuts to remove the water lines and fasteners for the faucet. I had called Lake Union Searay before attempting access and they couldn't tell me how to do it and would have to research the part for my "vintage" 2001 boat. After I had then called Evergreen RV and found the part in stock for $34, Searay called back and said they could order the part out of Oregon for $59. Tomorrow I will install the new faucet from Evergreen with my helper daughter.

    Thanks - Open Wide
