    Hello Fellas,

One of the hinges on my transom door has broken. Has anyone else had this happen and where did you find a replacement.

A good stainless welder can fix it.

Listed in the manual as a T-HINGE Part# 60219. I've had good luck in the past with marinepartdepot.com with regards to stainless. Check their website or call them as they might have sourcing for size.

The beauty of having a Bayliner is that Bayliner was a true manufacturer and keeps parts available.

Here is your part number for a 3988 of 1999 (they basically are all the same)

Bayliner used a lot of hardware from Perko. Some of it is not in the catalog, but it is still available (3788 anchor locker hinges, for example) . Go to the Perko catalog online and see if you can match it. If not call them. Their customer support people are very helpful.

You can buy a pair of SS hinges at Lowes last time I looked, very heavy duty, they are not the standard looking door hinge, they may not be available at all stores.

I went to Lowes and bought some heavy duty SS hinges, not strap hinges.

Lowes should have a small SS hinge section on a peg board in a blister pack for the 0ne pair of hinges I bought.
