Cleaning - Polishing Bath Tub in Forward Stateroom-gctid802514

The bathtub on our Meridian 490 is pretty dull. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning and polishing the tub in order to brighten it up?

Also, any suggestions on cleaning the faux leather pilot house seats? Will a leather cleaner and then leather conditioner work?

    Thanks!!

We used 3M Finesse-It on our 490 bathtub a few years ago. Once the shine was back, normal household cleaners kept it like new for the 8 years we owned it.

Vodka works well for tub scum as well. We use it for washing walls and such at home. Can't remember the mixture offhand, but I think 50/50 with water, and a few drops of essential oils to make it smell purdy.

Ok -- I love this post. How the hell does one determine that vodka works well on tub scum? Like are you in the shower singing away and you look at the tub scum and say "vodka" should clean that off! WTF - or did you have a glass of vodka and spill it on the tub scum and go "look at that - vodka takes that scum right off"".

"We use if for washing the walls" - again WTF. Can you come to my house for the spring cleaning? Yours sounds like hell of a better time than mind! LOL :woohoo:

Think I might know why you can't remember the mixture!!! Anything you don't use vodka for? I do like your thinking!!!

It makes cleaning the bathroom much more fun!! :silly:

In all honesty I was skeptical as well. My wife has allergies to many cleaning products, so she has researched alternatives. Many do not really work, but the vodka is really amazing. Just like using rubbing alcohol to clean ink or paint I guess.
