ES compleat 50/50 premix. I believe this is also what is recommended by Earl "the hino guru" for these engines. Its high quality and I use it in my Hino 250'

If you decide to go with a heavy duty, diesel engine type coolant, check the prices at a truck/heavy equipment supply store. For example, I found that the Cummins coolant costs a lot less at a truck supply place than at the marine chandler.

Hino says to change the antifreeze every 1-2 years???
That may be true but the Hino manual also states to use 30wt oil which was common in 1989. I believe with the advent of modern oil formulations most are now using multigrade oil. I'm betting the same is true with modern coolant which should extend the replacement intervals.

Fleetguard, low silica is the main thing to look for. I have your same motor (great engine) change every 2-3 years, I buy mine at the Cummins NW.

Just use the same colored antifreeze that is in there now and change it every two years.

              Pretty simple
