Hello well I was looking for some information and to share some info.

135 Hp hinos with 630a hurth that I installed a few years back.

As several members know after I replaced my 360A Hurth Gear boxes to Hurth 630A hydraulic transmission my performance levels have dropped as it takes 15 hp to run then and in later Motor Yacht you see the 15hp upgrades in the 150hp engines.

To get to my 3000 rpm levels I re pitched the Nakashima props. I had them repitch an was able to reach 2800 Rpm max

The prop shop informed me that they could not re pitch the Nakashima's any lower so I switch to a new prop.

I am running a Michigan Wheel 4 blade DQX skewered blade 17 dia 14.1 pitch on the port motor and 13.8 pitch on the starboard. I can reach 3000 Rpm with this configuration.

With my RIB on the platform with 15 hp outboard motor and gear I am still a little short on rpms. Now I turn

about 2950 rpm max fully loaded so I know I am still a little under propped probably about 3/10 or . 3 I think this fall when i pull I will repitch. To 13.8 port & 13.5 starboard. I know I am pretty close.

This year I install 1/2 plastic spacers on the trim taps this has made a positive improvement. I am cruising at 2600 Rpm @14knts@ 1050 EGT. My exhaust gas sensors are pre turbo. I think if I drop the pitch this will also help my EGT. My dream is 950 degrees. I have up graded all my coolant lines on my turbo to 5/8 Id when I switched to silicone hoses.

I think I might also interested in a aftermarket after cooler if you can recommend where to start on this.

Thanks for your time. I am very interested as to what you folks think.

    Sincerely Roger

I have a hybrid setup with a 630a on the port and a 360a on the starboard. I can get 2900 RPM on the 630a and 3100 rpm on the 360a. Running same pitch both sides, 4 blade props not sure size or pitch. I get 14 knots at 2450 rpm and a good 15 to 16 knots @2600rpm. WOT I can get 19 knots and sometime 20 on flat seas. I run 99% of the time right @2400rpm at 13-14 knots mostly 13.5. I do have a cooler that comes off the turbo exit. I consider it an "After Cooler". It probably fetches an additional 7-8 HP or more??? See pic.
