  • Swim platform ladder on 32xx-gctid392180

I have the standard 2-step swim ladder on my boat and it's a little too short for my needs. I also don't like it being stowed on top of the platform. I am going to replace it with an under-platform ladder, but can't make up my mind if I should go with a 3 or 4 step. It'll most likely be a Windline, one of these models:

    Or this 4-step:

I'd like to hear other people's opinion of the standard ladder and what you have done to make it easier to board.

I agree the two step on top of the swim platform was pretty useless. I considered the same mod as you. The three step would be more than sufficient for the application in my opinion.

I see no reson to not go for 4 steps

If you think its to long, yast not step om the last step.

If you bay the 3 step version i think you regnet it.

Othwr than the cost difference why wouldnt you go with the 4step one? It doesnt really take up any more space.

I agree. Unless somebody with the 4-step would say the last step is completely useless, but that is not the case.

Carman, thanks for the pics and the information. Looks like I will go with the 4-step version.
