Help With Aft Shower Leak, 4087_3887?-gctid391286

I just started getting a water leak at the outside of the aft shower on my 4087. It is at the forward end of the aft room, by the engine room access panel. It is right in the vicinity of the valve plumbing. I checked the interior of the shower unit for cracks in the caulking, loose fittings, diverter valve cover seal, drain, etc. It only leaks when using the shower, so I assume it is leaking from the hose that goes from the diverter valve to the shower head fitting, not the main plumbing lines.

It appears I could access the plumbing by removing the refrigerator? Before I do that, I'm curious if anyone has been at their plumbing. I certainly want to avoid removing the panels in the aft room if possible.

Had the same problem on my 3587. It is much easier to access the plumbing from the refrigerator area. Just slide the frig forward and tilt till you can squeeze past. There is a cut-out to the divertor connections which, in my case, had become loose.

Davita is absolutely correct- access the shower from behind the fridge. About 6 screws, a couple of electrical connections (12v/120v) and a friend to help you slide the fridge out and set it in the salon. Easy.

Thanks for the responses. I sent the message as I left for a week trip, didn't have internet access, so apologise for not answering. You both make it sound easier than I imagined. Hope to get to it today before leaving the marina, if not, next trip in a week or so.

I was able to remove the refrigerator and gain access to the plumbing. Easier than I thought as there was no access panel, just an opening in the back panel. The leak was a cracked plastic fitting on the shower head pipe, quite difficult to get to as the space was pretty small. Thanks for the advice.
