    32xx Hurley or Trick davit-gctid389354

I would like to get a davit system for my 3288. I was wondering if any of the 32xx boat owner has experience with either the Hurley or the Trick davit system.

    I specifically want to know:

    1. How does your boat handle when the dinghy is on the davit system

    2. How is it to board the boat when the dinghy is in the davit system

    3. How is it to get the dinghy ON and OFF the davit

Again I'm looking specifically for the 32XX

    Thanks

    Jean

Althought we use Weaver davits, I don't think that the swim platform is large enough to use either of these two systems.

I have a 38' that I am installing a Trick Davit system right now - you need half the beam of your dinghy width to fit on your swim step. On my 38, I still have 24 inches between my transom and the dinghy when it's in the cradle. Call the owner of Trick Davit - Jim Trethaway, he answers the phone and will quickly figure out if it will work...he's a great guy to work with.

i installed transom mount davits by ocean marine systems. i have a 10 ft. rib with helm seat and 15hp 4stroke. they look great, are very well made, (strength in design and material is really important) and work very well. check it out, google ocean marine systems.

Do you have a picture of your instalation?

You mentionned you still have 24 inches. How wide is the dinghy?

How long is your swim step?

Here is our Hurley. Hurley sells an extender for narrow swim steps. There is really no difference in handling on our boat. The dinghy and motor weigh about 130lbs. No problem boarding. Very easy to get off the davit, a little harder to get back on due to weight of the outboard.
