How Many Dinghys Have You Owned?-gctid384055

    12 foot aluminum V bottom

    10 foot Livingston

    7 foot Livingston

    8 foot Columbia

    8 foot Livingston

    9 foot Livingston

    8 foot generic inflatable

    11 foot Whaler

    12 foot Zodiac center console

    17 foot Arima

    19 foot Sea Swirl

    12 foot Bullfrog

The Arima and Sea Swirl I considered dinghys as I always towed them behind a Bayliner. I did not list assorted kayaks or other. Seems a bit silly but at the time they all came with a reason. The current Bullfrog is the best of the bunch.

At least those are the dozen I remember.

Several ( 5 inflatables, a 18' Klamath Aluiminum, a homemade Seine Skiff, and first and foremost a livingston dinghy. Got rid of the Livingston as fast as I could - gave it away to the4 first person that would take it - as I felt it was always an accident waiting to happen/swamp.

                    2. A 1998 Zodiac. It was 10' something. My current dinghy is a 1997 Quicksilver 330 10' 2" I believe. The Zodiac was powered by a 10 HP Sears OB the Quicksilver by a 15 HP Mercury OB.

Interesting question since having a dinghy along has opened up boatng to many more adventures (as biohazard has said).

Its likely around 20 now as most of them have been inflatables of various sizes and makes.

I believe the inflatable count is around 15 now with 3 still in the fleet.

The hard bottoms varied between aluminum rowboat style and rotomolded smaller tenders.

FWIW - we had only purchased one of these dinghies new, all the rest were aquired used.
