where to buy teak for my bayliner 3218-gctid379841

I,m replacing the teak outside on the side pillars on my 3218, next to the sink and next to the cabin door on the stdb side. anyone know where i could buy teak like this, as its quite a big piece on each side. why they would make a nice boat all fiberglass and add this crap , is unknown to me. Anyone help me out. ?

On my 38, I just glued white UV protected PVC over the teak, which eliminated the issue completely. Looked just like and matched the white fiberglass. The quarter sheet of PVC was cheap and thin enough to glue without removing any teak material except a loose piece.

Sorry no photos. Sold boat in late 1995. Friend had boat for 5 or 6 years and PVC showed no wear, fading, etc. Boat then sold to Alaska owner.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a teak plywood distributor closer but Windor Plywood will cut and fed-ex you a few pieces. http://windsorplywood.com/location-r...px?loc=Ontario

Simple- tradition, character, warmth, looks.......unlike the cold, impersonal world of white gel coat.

Try Eden's Saw in Port Townsend and Tacoma.
