Hi Guys. I have a 99 4788 here in Brisbane Australia and can't get the trash compactor to work. Any ideas ? How do you get to the back of it to see if it is conected to power.?
Also can any one tell me where I might be able to get new Windscreen wiper assy in the US?

HI Ian, I cannot help with the trash compactor, however here is where you go for assistance with any wiper issues.
The trash compactor is plugged into a standard AC socket behind the unit. It has a dedicated CB on the AC side of the electrical panel. I donÔÇÖt think itÔÇÖs GFI protected.
You have to pull the unit out to get to the plug. There should be screws holding it to the cabinet or counter top. Sorry it's been a while and I don't have a good photo with me. I normally take photos of everything I remove and the surrounding structure for future reference.
IÔÇÖd check the CB first and make sure power is going through it.
Some units have a fuse in the AC plug. If youÔÇÖre getting power to the socket check the fuse.
From there it's checking the switches. I have a owners manual with the wiring diagram on the boat but I'm on my way to Jakarta right now.

There is an interlock to make sure the drawer/door is closed before it runs, make sure that switch is working.

Ian, re your query on Wiper Bits, Prime Composites in Arundel stock American Equip parts. 07 5500 5300 including shafts, panto arms, and rubbers.
I have a 4788 as well, based in Raby Bay, BNE. The shaft knurl was so rusted on two of mine, I had to cut the shaft and replace it. We should touch base sometime..
Cheers
