Down-rigger of 3587 or 4387-gctid377325

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using down-riggers from a 3587 or 4387. Basically is it possible from the raised area above the swim platform.

The previous owner of our 4087 had them mounted; I've thought about it, but haven't pulled the trigger as of yet. Doing carpet right now......

I have seen them on the 4087 and they will work fine being that it has the cockpit (other than maybe issues with your trolling speed). What I am wondering is if someone has had any luck running them from the top of the aft cabin being the 3587 and the 4387 don't have a cockpit. The answer may very well be that they won't work, but just curious if anyone has given it a try.

Ah- got it. It might be a bit awkward, with the downrigger on the deck and all.....we did do some trolling with a planer from that deck- worked pretty well.
