    Battery charger-gctid374803

I have 2001 4788 with original battery charger installed. Have recently found out that charger sensor is not recognizing when batteries (starting) are fully charged and then 'backing' down on charge it is supplying, therefore resulting in batteries being overcharged and damaged (rendered useless). Never encountered this before. Anyone else? Does anyone have recommendations for charger replacement? Thanks!

Install an inverter charger. These have a great charger built in. I am amazed you have not had these issues before, as the stock chargers eat batteries even when new.
