New Here. Bayliner 4087 fuel consumption-gctid371645

    Hello,

My friend plans a 2000 nm trip in the Adriatic with his Bayliner 4087 with twin Mercruiser 7.4L.

Does anyone have fuel consuption data (curves) for this boat.

    regards,

    Skipper

I would plan on 0.55 - 0.60 nmpg at slower cruising speeds.

    Hope this helps

At WOT I would expect about a barrel of fuel per hour. In that size boat with those engines, any on plane speed may not even reach .5 NMPG. The only affordable speed would be to run under hull speed, under 8 knots.

A barrel per hour would be a good estimate at full throttle.

Mine burns 0.5 gallons (of diesel) per mile at displacement speeds and a gallon per mile at efficient plane - about 17 knots.

Those twin gassers would be twice as bad, at a minimum. But WOT you'd be up around 25 knots for sure.
