removing teak trim on 38xx-gctid369448

Has anyone removed the teak trim that starts in the salon at the door crosses the galley and ends aft at the window? I drilled out all the teak plugs, removed the screws and the starboard side comes out easy enough. The three pieces that run mid-ship across the galley appear to be glued or perhaps nailed in at the bottom. If you have done this what is the trick, if the tiny circle marks near the bottom are nails do I just drill through them? Or cut with a saws-all? I want to make sure I get it out clean for the new varnish. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. I attached a pic.

I removed and refinished my trim last spring. The bottom is nailed with small finishing nails but NO glue. I used a strong (stiff) putty knife to pry out the bottoms. Coastie

When you re-installed the trim did you put the small finishing nails back or did you leave them off and just use the screws?
