    Shipping a 45 from california to florida-gctid365121

We're considering relocating from Sacramento to Ft Walton Beach area, and want to take the boat. I've run into the Jones Act, which apparently precludes putting it on a ship in Oakland and delivering it to a port in Florida unless somebody knows a carrier in compliance. The alternative is to truck it, but don't know the height with the arch, venturi, wheel, etc. removed. I'm not young, and am disabled, so the work to prep may be beyond my ability anyway. Moving it via a sea carrier sure sounded easier. Anybody know the height with all the bridge stuff removed, and/or a sea carrier in compliance?

Scratch the idea of using a ship. Not going to happen. Lucky for you, these boats were designed to be trucked. Just drop the arch and your "good to go". I have a photo on my site showing you what they need to look like for trucking. Under "History & updates" page. Plenty of truckers can do it, and I know 2 who do it all "soup to nuts".
