Hino raw water pump impeller - where in Vanccouver?

Just curious where in Vancouver (area) folks go for things like raw water pump impellers for Hinos?

You might try Marine Parts Supply of Canada; they advertise Hino parts in some of the trade journals:

    Marine Parts Supply of Canada

    1520 Stewart Ave.

    Nanaimo, BC V9S 4E1

    phone: (250) 754-5585

    toll free: (866) 278-4466

    fax: (250) 754-9471

    email: [email protected]

    Mon - Fri 8:30 - 5:00

    Saturday 8:30 - 5:00

    Sunday Closed

Note there are alternates to Hino factory impellers - just look-up at the many on-line parts websites. Good luck, Doug S.

      This may be stupid but...

Could you call a Hino truck store? I know there's one in Langley anyway, so there must be more. I would think they'd at least have access to them.

If all else fails, contact the Hino distributor for all of Western Canada in Nanaimo, Anchor Marine, 1-866-278-4466 (HINO). They have the best supply of Hino marine parts of anyone I have seen except North Harbor Diesel in Anacortes, Wa.

First you need to determine who is the maker of your pump.

On the cover of my pump it was stamped with

          Johnson

          F7B 902

          10-24253-2

          N-10

F7B 902 is the pump TYPE.

          10-24253-2 Is the pump NUMBER.

Bayliner got the engine from US Marine, US Marine got the engine from HINO. Hino built the engine for US Marine. Most of the raw water pumps were OEMed from Johnson.

With the Manufactor, Type and Number you should be able go to any retailer (marine supplies usually charge more) who carries Johnson pumps and get an Impeller.

In the above case F7 is the key, Johnson makes two impellers.

Jabsco also makes replacement impellers for Johnson Pumps.

09-1028BT-1 Made of MC97 which is Neoprene. Replaces Jabsco 17937-0001

09-1028B-9 Made of Nitrile and is oil resistant. Replaces Jabsco 17937-00003

The only gotcha is you need to get the kit which has a paper gasket.

          Hope this helps.

thanks all - ordered from Marine Parts Supply (Nanaimo) - aka "1.866.278.4466".

Found their "at my door" prices (parts plus shipping) to be equivalent to what I'd pay locally , but without having to add the time or gas expense. Their correspondence was timely and professional, both on the phone and via email. Provided the rest of the experience is the same - they have a new customer.

Side note to "Merlin4087" - the phone number for BC Pumps is out of order - guessing they're not still around...

Geoff, I actually called a Hino Truck dealer in the Seattle area when I was looking for Alternator belts. OK are you sitting down...............the dealer actually wanted TWICE the price that North Harbor Diesel wanted. I was amazed; a NON-MARINE source was asking twice the price of a MARINE source.....should have calld a news paper outfit or something to report the extraordinary incident.

Bc marine pump is no longer there. Think he moved to pender harbour, not sure that he is still in business at all.

Good info. I will try Nanaimo but would anyone know who in Vancouver to Langley might carry the Sierra Manufacturing ts25101 200 degree water sensor that triggers the alarm?
