I have a 1987 3818 with 175 na. I need to remove the starboard valve cover to replace the leaking gasket but i dont think i have enough room between the top of the cover and the wood floor support. does this have to be cut ? Thanks Dave

In My case I needed to trim the frame over the top of the engine - but it worked after some carful trimming.

the valve gaskets on the HINO's are very reliable. Just make sure when you switch out the large o-ring style gasket. Be sure to remove all oils from the surface of the head and the o-ring. Nice and dry to keep the leaks away.
