  • 45XX Salon Glass Replacement Question-gctid359675

Do the frames have to be pulled to replace the glass, or just the inserts? Anyone in So Cal have a vendor who's done this work you're happy with?

    Thanks

If they are built like the 3870 then you just pull the bottom rubber glides out and they drop into a groove and tip out.

We made a pattern and took it to an auto glass place. Make sure you get the right width of glass or the frame won't go back on. It just drops into the track as stated above.

Jim The Glass Man did ours...562-924-5914

ours broke about 4 years back at the isthmus, and he even came out on the express to replace it. We were luck and were able to get the glass pre-cut through a bayliner dealer and had it shipped right to the island.

You pull the black weather strip from the bottom, top and side and then the glass lifts and rotates in and out.

Hope the frame is not bent like ours was...that was the hard part to straighten
