I need a new water pump and a new primer pump for my Chrysler Mitts on my 1985 38. Does Anyone know where to get either of these besides Kieth? Is the pump going to break the bank?

Flying Dutchman water pumps in Oregon- he'll rebuild your pump for about $100. Tony (owner) is honest and great to work with. Use the search function or google.

Wow- he wanted $1500 when I called him...Tony rebuilt mine just before I sold my 38, and he even wanted to discount the repair because he took 2 extra days to complete the repair...I call that integrity.

Pete,
I left Tony a message and expect to hear back by Monday.. If he gives me an estimate of anywhere near $100 I will be very happy considering Kieth's $3500 offer.. However, if the economy has changed Tony's price significantly ii would very much appreciate the other contact... Thank you very much for your reply and knowledge.. (Beers)

Recommend you go ahead and remove the old pump now- both places will have you send in your pump for rebuild. As for cost- I don't think the price will have changed much.

Scott,
Will do.. I might not get to the pump until next Saturday unless something changes in my schedule. I'll let you know tomorrow what the price is and next week what the removal and install are like.

What is going on with this Keith dude? Sounds like he is completely out of touch with the real world. That's beyond ridiculous.

Pete,
Tony said he remembered your pump and that it is a bit more difficult to rebuild.. He said $150 is a fair price for that pump.. I am going to the boat today to remove and ship..... Dave at Kraft Power said he van get a new pump for roughly $400 but he didn't look up the price to confirm.. i am very comfortable with the rebuilt pump which will probably be better than new.. I should have it installed by next week and will update everyone then.. Thanks for the information, Keith and his $3500 is laughable..

When I talked to Kraft Power, the lady there said he'd have a hard time getting the pump.
$150 is quite reasonable for the rebuild IMO- Tony did an excellent job on mine.
