      Because of the limited protection the anchorages tend to be more rolly, and you will be anchoring in water that is very shallow to get behind some cover and out of the swell.

      It's been a while since we were in that area, but I believe the tide range is maybe a bit over 3' which is very similar to central Florida.
      In the Florida Keys the range is about half that and up in NY the range was nearly 3X that range.
