    Retired and cruising!

Well, yesterday was it. The last day in a 38 year career.

All I have to do is go back at the end of the month and put in a partial "day" (really show up) to get credit for working in May which adds to my pension and gives me another month of free medical.

Now it's time to start cruising!

Departure day is May 3rd. I drop my truck off at the car shipping company on Monday the 2nd, and my son will drive me to Seward. There I will leave port forever on the first good weather day.

The first leg of my adventure is Seward Alaska to Washington State. My guess for this segment is three weeks or so.

From there I will park the boat for a bit, and drive my truck to La Paz Baja Sur, and park it. Then it will be a flight back to Seattle and the adventure continues!

Yes, I worked my last few years as a power grid operator.

Congratulations on retirement! Rob’s comment about wondering how you had time to work is spot on. I’ve done extensive research and fact finding studies, brought in consultants (all retired) and still haven’t got a satisfactory answer.
