Yes I think I will like it more.

Discounts at the pub is always good and it will be great not to have to worry about tides. Maybe I'll cya around the docks down there!

I think you'll like Captains Cove.

    I have my 5788 there.

Nice little pub with discounts for us boaters. Also discounts at Cove Links golf course nearby.

    Internet access.

No worries about low tide access.

$7.50 per foot + charge for electricity over 50'

    My home away from home!

Well I just finished signing up for a year with Captains Cove. They seem friendly and I definitely like their haul out rates way better then at my current marina. I will bring the boat over not this weekend but the next, hopefully the weather cooperates and now I dont have to worry about that sand bank that was positioned 20 feet in front of my current slip. Another positive is I am closer to the ramp, and parking is much closer as well. The slip is a lot wider too so that helps with docking.

Only negative I can think of is now I have to go through the tunnel which if its not rush hour its okay, but it can get pretty conjested at peak hours.

We were looking at a couple of spots there in December.

When I talked to a friend from the Ladner Yacht Club he said:

"Easy access in and out. Fuel and haulout near by.... They don't have the tide issues we have at the Club...."

We were happy with their response to our questions. They were the most professional of the marinas we talked to at the time.

We ended up at Deep Cove as it's more convenient to home and our winter cruising territory.
Haul out is part of marina. Fuel is 91 octane no ethanol. They also have free pump out.

I see, no wake zones, I didnt think about that. I suppose that would slow me down a bit when we want to take off for the weekend on a friday night after work and beat the sunset. I will have to come up with a decision soon as my current moorage term expires March 24th, so time is a tickin.

I am in River House next door. I know several people there and they are all happy. You are in the slough there is a current but not an issue. Long walk from car to boat and they do not have wheel barrows you have to supply your own. Ladner yacht club adds another 1/2 hour to your trip each way due to no wake zones.

    Captains Cove Marina-gctid358114

I was thinking about changing Marinas to Captains Cove in Delta BC. I just wanted to ask if any BOC members have their boats moored there and how is it? I know the current in the river in my area is terrible and wanted to know if its any better at Captains Cove? Anyhow I am looking at a 32' slip, any feedback about the entire marina as a whole would be appreciated!
