I am looking at a 2002 3788 with diesels. What should I be looking for: Good, Bad and ugly?
In the past, Bayliner has had problems with aluminum fuel tank corrosion due to improper installation, i.e., using wood braces that touch the aluminum. Aluminum doesn't like being wet and corrodes. See the link below for some photos of 3270 tanks (and the replacement project).
Your surveyor should already know this but make sure he/she takes a look.
Due to my experience with a 98 3388 here in Michigan make sure if you are interested in this boat by all means have a survey and pay special attention to the stringers and their moisture content.
