  • Bayliner 3870 for $19.5K-gctid354273

I came across this as I was posting an ad for my engine:

Too bad I don't have a ton of time and an existing repower project on my hands. I'd actually consider it. Shhh! Don't tell the admiral I said that.

Note: I'm not affiliated with the person who is selling this boat. I just thought I'd pass it on.

Not just a re-power, it will need to be re-wired, batteries, gears need to be checked, control cables, much depends how deep it sunk. A pair of engines and gears are spendy.

"The boat was just surveyed last week and valued @ $55,000 before the water damaged."

The guy says the boat sank last summer so was the survey done before the sinking or was it done last week before some new water damage?

"The boat took on water when electrical cord fell so the battery stopped charging and the bilge pump stopped working do to dead batteries.

This boat was in great condition before the water damage."

Apprarently the boat was in great condition except for the water coming in that had to be continually pumped out?

Anyway, bottom line, 20k - good luck.

If water got into the engines the water was high enough to cover the intake.

Seems a little high. But would be worth a look. One can always make an offer.

I paid $1200 for my sunk 3870 12 years ago, everything but the hul,l shafts and props and strainers were replaced.
