cracked gelcoat under the glass

Hello. I have a cracked gelcoat under the glass in bayliner 2855 has anyone polished it? what effect? Has anyone painted it?

Is that on the inside under the windshield? If so the best is to sand with 36 grit and overlay with 2 t4 layer of vail, or 4 to 6 OZ boat cloth 2 layers, gelcoat light shade, pick contrasting shade and web over.

Looks to be on the exterior Fritz. Stress cracking or late Friday afternoon layup from the monkeys that built it 😳

Outside I have not see, but repair is the same , I think too heavy gelcoat from Friday, the norm is 20 mil so if you have 40 on and week support under that is what you get.
