Looking for help !!!! Anyone have any ideas on what would cause my gear lube reservoir to suddenly drain down and puddle up around my bilge. I have a 1993 bayliner classic with a 5.7 bravo mercrusier and a bravo 2 outdrive. This occurred while the boat was parked it has been parked for a couple weeks i just replaced the starter. Never had any leaks before then all of a sudden it was empty ???? Boat hasn't moved . My reservoir is mounted on my transom wall and does not appear to be leaking from the tank itself i followed it down to brass 90 that goes into the transom. All seemed pretty clean. Just an empty reservoir and a puddle down below. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks guys

If your positive the drive lube is what you see in the engine bay bilge I’d say you have a compromised lube reservoir or the hose from the reservoir to the transom fitting is leaking.
Id clean the bottle, hose , and transom fitting then add some lube to the reservoir and observe. Some paper towels wrapped around those components will help pinpoint the leak if it’s there.Dave

So after further inspection. Im fairly certain its not leaking from the bottle or line to transom wall. Builderdude. I have a question my boat is parked in some what of a down hill angle (bow downhill ) and has been sitting in that position for at least 3 weeks. Is it possible the oil is slowly seeping through that weep hole ??
