    3888 running on one engine

I keep hearing that you can cause damage (over temp) the transmission of the non running transmission? Does anyone have experience with this? Looking at trolling speeds not anything heavy.
    Thanks the new guy.

I’ve run mine on one engine several times. Dead engine was in neutral good engine was 1500 rpm or less. I had no negative issues that I’m aware of. I’ve never computed fuel burn but it pretty amazing to realize I can get the same ground speed on one engine at 1500 rpm vs two engines running at 1200 rpm. The numbers are form memory but as I recall they were pretty close.

One of the more knowledgeable marine transmission guys works there. Mike is available by phone or email.
The parts prices are pretty good and they ship all over the world.
