    Is This a Fair Price?

Question for all of you who have purchased canvas for your boat! I recently had a bid for a complete canvas upper enclosure on my 3288. I went for Makralon for the forward windows, and 40 Strata around. The canvas material is standard Sunbrella brand. The price came back at $4500. There will need to be a slight modification where the bimini frame mounts. My model has the bimini attach forward, as opposed to the sides. Seem fair?

That price seems very fair. The cost of materials goes up every year and Makrolon is expensive. Have you seen the persons work? That's a prime consideration. Something else to think about is designing the enclosure so the bimini poles do not contact plastic . I have Sunbrella in all those areas which is more work but keeps the clear plastic in better condition.
