It was a lot of fun. Spent opening at 10 AM till about 1:30 at the center and 2 till 5 at the in water followed by dinner at Daniels. The show seems to be getting bigger again. A few years ago, you could go in and see 1/10 the number of people due to the economy. Seems it is getting better each year. I was surprised that no really big boats were in the center... But they were filled with boats everywhere and less non-boating stuff as in recent years past.
I loved the new Cutwater 28 made in Monroe WA. Nice ideas throughout the boat... I was dissppointed in the Meridian 341 they had at the show. No cabin helm station and it looked like a big box where the helm should have been. They could have done a better job with that area. The prices were reasonable for the size of the Meridians when compared with the other builders...

Boats on the lake were bigger in nature. As for the Show it self, I was quite disappointed. I thought the crowds were down and this sentiment was shared by several venders who said that for openning weekend the overall average was low. My dissappointment originates from not finding any "specials". I had a few things in mind that I wanted to purchase prior to attending. It seemed that most products were priced at everyday price points and in some cases higher than I may find on the internet. All in all, it was a good day in the city and I rather enjoyed looking through the various boats and products but my expectations for buying was not met.

The Cutwater though... 100% quality boat. We'll be hearing more from those guys. The workmanship was awesome and the layout was very nice. Price was reasonable too.

I bought a water maker for $66 les than last years price.
I spent 4 days at the Shot Show in Las Vegas and had the same issue with prices. At least if you wanted something at the Boat Show there was product. I could not say that about the Shot Show
