    Waxing boat for the season.

Hi all I have a 1994 4788. In pretty good shape. We removed old name stern and house with wet sand paper. Now I have the tool but don't have any idea of how much compound I need to buy. From what I can tell I think I may need only do a two step from water line up. Any help on my materials. Was thinking 3M.

    3Kg Spectra Ultra Cutting Creme

This is what we used on our boat last spring. It worked very well and with a added coat of wax the boat still looks pretty nice today. When I bought it the price as under $40 so the cost is up a bit but you get about a gallon of it so it's not that bad.

You will want to follow that with a polishing cream and a different type of pad. I’ve seen several videos on what and how on YouTube university, usually promoting a product line, but it’s the type of product rather than brand, pads and speeds that are most important takeaways from them. I personally like “Buff Magic” for compound, 3M Finess for polish and Colinite wax I believe it is #925
