    Michigan surveyor recommendation

I am negotiating on a boat that is dry-docked in Algonac, MI near Lake St Clair. If the deal comes to be, I will be looking for a surveyor.
Any recommendations for surveyors in that area from the group?

Also, any advice or reminders for me on the purchase agreement, survey or anything at all?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I used this surveyor prior to the purchase of my Carver. He cost a bit more than some of the others I contacted but IMO he did a great job on my Survey. He also went out with us on both sea trials. There were some issues on the first sea trial that had to be corrected so when we sea trialed the boat the 2nd time he did come along. I did have to pay an additional fee for his 2nd trip.

He is downriver not sure if he travels that far north. In my case the boat I purchased was in Monroe and he did travel there twice.

    Good luck.

        Rick,
Do you or your mechanic handle the flybridge OR did the transporter?

Not totally sure I understand your question. When we seatrialed the boat both times the broker was at the helm handling the boat. I was along for the ride. Les was all over the boat prior to the seatrial and during the seatrial. I hope this answers your query.

Sorry Rick. I meant flybridge removal - if you had to...

In my case I did not have to transport the boat. When I purchased it the contract included the remaining summer dockage. I kept the boat at the marina where it was when I purchased it. No transport needed in my case.

                Thank you Rick.
I do have a purchase agreement subject to sea trial & survey. I spent 5 hours crawling over the boat on Friday.
It can stay at the current storage facility until the end of April. It is paid up by the seller.
I will need to coordinate transportation. I may take the boat from Lake St Clair to Port Clinton, OH on the water and truck it from there to the Ohio River.
