    Great Loop- Tee Caldwell died

    Tee Caldwell, harbormaster of Columbus Ms Marina on the Tenn Tom waterway, Great Loop, passed away today in Columbus Ms of complications following surgery. Tee was a great friend of "Loopers" for many years and rescued countless boats on his section of the waterway. He was a diver, an expert at changing props in the water with flotation bags and diving gear. He was a river boatman supreme and a great friend. He will be greatly missed, the loop section from Midway to Demopolis should have a black ribbon for the sadness of losing one of the best river man on the Loop. .

    Sorry for your loss. I've never been that far south, but if I did I think I would have liked to meet him.

      I grew up there after my Dad retired at the AF base in Columbus. Probably knew him at some point. RIP.
