What are you trying to insure?
Most insurance companies will require a survey once your boat reaches 20 years old. Many require surveys before that.
I am not currently with BoatUs, but I have been comparing policies lately and I am leaning heavily toward switching to BoatUs at renewal time. Watch policy language as it relates to depreciation of partial losses. In a lot of cases, you can end up with a settlement of practically nothing.Mocoondo

Yes it would help if we knew what boat you are trying to insure. Maybe fill out your profile signature with your boat info and your location.
I have not found any insurance companies that will insure without a survey, especially with an older boat.Joel

Foremost insurance doesn't require a survey. I was paying a little around $450 per year for 22k agreed value on my 1988 3218 and around the same for my 2000 2859 with 30k agreed value. Both had the coverages necessary for the marina. I got foremost thru my regular state farm dealer.Esteban
