boat resting on its point on the bunk-gctid400369

I had to get a different trailer.

the trailer I borrowed has the boat resting on the "point" or "rib"

    should I be concerned?

as always thank you in advance for your assistance.

It's my understanding that the rib is the strongest part of the hull. It may shift? during transport - Not really sure about this. But just sitting on the trailer-OK

If you are talking about the lifting strake, ideally the flat part of it should rest on the bunk, not the pointy part.

as long as the bunks go all the way to the transom I wouldn't be concerned if it isn't long term. Driving with it might be a risk as the boat might shift sideways.

IMO a bunk on the strakes will cause unnecessary stress on the hull in that area and may lead to cosmetic cracking. I'd make sure to keep the bunks on the flat part of the hull.
