  • Trailer Size

Hello friends. I have a 2006 275. Considering getting a trailer. Now it's kept on a lift out back my house in Vero Beach. Could use a trailer to pull the boat for cleaning, maintenance, etc.

    A couple questions:

    1) will a 2015 Suburban LTZ be OK to tow relatively short distances? I think it has 8,300 pound towing capacity.

    2) what size trailer do you use or will I need?

    3) what are the best 3 or 4 trailer names and things I should look for? (Brakes, fenders, etc.)

Been a while since I've had a trailer, but I think it would be useful.

    Thanks

    John

I have a 2005 275. Bought a trailer for it last year from Charleston Trailer. They will build it to your boat. What they built me was a dual axle Aluminum bunk trailer, 4 wheel disc brakes, torsion axles, posilube spindles. I have hauled the boat from Charleston to upstate NY for the summer, and now back down in Sanford Fl, for the winter. Their trailers are not cheap but they are a good trailer. Mine was around $6800 delivered. I haul it with a 2015 Toyota Tundra SR5. pulls and stops great. They are great folks to work with. I will buy another trailer from them when the time comes.

    2005 275 - sold (now boatless)
