Need parts for 1985 2850 contessa

Rails, teak handles, etc. is there a place to find things of this sort for my boat? I know cars are easy. (Junk yards) autozone etc. how about these Bayliner's

A couple of suggestions. Try googling "used boat parts" in your area. Also take a minute or two to fill out the profile page on this site. Put your location in the profile. I found help once from a BOC member just a few slips from me thanks to having that information available.

The rails can be made from 1" teak boards easily. The fittings and pipe are available at most chandlers. It looks more complicated than it is. Use a scrap to practice drilling and plugging, there is a bit for drilling the proper hole size.

Instead of teak I suggest Cumuru wood, harder than teak and holds up better, nice color.

Available from "Advantage Lumber" online, much less costly than teak.

IPE is also a very hard and good looking wood. also holds up quite well.
