ID:	394766 Recently my water heater breaker tripped out. Very tough to get into the area. That is the reason to suddenly need to cut a cave hatch. I finally got to remove the access cover on the water heater. I wanted to check if I needed a new heater element or a new water heater. To my surprise I found the black wire pinched between the outside plastic part of the element and the access cover. The wire wore through and shorted on the access cover. I cut out the bad part of the wire and re crimped it. Water heater working again.
