"Mr. Darcy" is docked in a marine that is mostly fresh water. There is a moss that grows on it when not in use regularly. An older experienced blue water sailor told me to take it out of the bay and into the ocean for about an hour or so at least once a month to kill the fresh water growth on the hull. It works great! Many of you probably knew this already, but for those who didn't, try it. It doesn't remove all of it but a very noticeable amount is gone the next day.
