    BAYLINE ELEMENT 18

We have just purchased a bayliner element 18 foot sports boat. Someone gave us a magnum grill but i think it is just way to big for our boat. I am looking for some thing gas small that does not make a huge mess just to cook hotdogs on. I was thinking a fold and go any suggestions?

What ever you choose, make sure any open flames are as far as possible from the boat's fuel area, that it is well supported (big waves arrive quickly) and that you have a fire extinguisher on board and everybody knows its location.

As far as what unit to buy, unfortunately I don't have any suggestions. Sorry.

This is good advice. Grilling on a small boat like an E18 is generally a bad idea unless you have one of those Magma-type grills that will mount in a gunwale mounted rod holder up and away from the boat's cockpit. A grill is an open fire. Open fire +small boat=bad. You have no gunwale rod holders in an E18...and if you mount one near the ski tower....that's the worst possible place.

Grill on the beach, or bring sandwiches......
