ongoing saga of the winnie may 2655 sunbridge-gctid399399

well, wen't out on the 4th and saw the fireworks in new york harbor. while we are there wa-la! my starter craps out......pulled the boat on the 5th. mechanic came down today to install the mew starter and bing, i need a new flywheel.......will be replacing the oilpan, inspection plate, and will be putting in new gaskets on outdrive plates on both sides of stern as i think i have had a small amount of water coming in. when ever i come back from a day out i pump out for 60 seconds or so. any other thoughts on what i should chk while the motor is out of the boat? and please remember i have 2100 max to drop on all of it....

why don't you have a bellows kit put in while it is out. Sure is easier. Your mechanic should already know this.

I'd go back together with a HTGR/PMGR starter motor if your 1991 engine is not already equipped with one.

Perhaps install a remote oil drain hose.

Whoever replaces the ring gear, make sure that they do not over-heat the steel.

I've seen both mechanics and machinists use Oxy-Acet, and heat the ring gear [SIZE]4 wrote:
