First time hauling this big of a boat.-gctid822367

So the shop that does trailer repair and fabrication is in the next town over nearly half an hour away. JT Trailer in Lancaster Ohio has cornered the market on trailer repair and fabrication. He did the repair including a new surge brake system and bunks before I got this boat but he has turned it into an art form. I took it in today to find out how to get the bow raised a little. I had never towed more than a couple miles since I bought this large of a boat and trailer. It was awesome. My GMC Sierra 2500 HD towed the Antigua like it was made for it. You only felt it when going up large hills. I am floored. Even when braking the new surge brakes caught everything, They actually helped stop the truck more than just the trailer. I am floored guys. New 4L80E HD Transmission with 5000 mile brake in and new HD air intake. It was so cool. So if anyone needs trailer work done Call Mike at JT Trailer in Lancaster Ohio. This is not an advertisement just a message from a very satisfied customer of his.

Yachtman, yeah it is that awesome. From your avatar photos it looks like you have the towing down to a science.

Redwngr, The trailer is 1,800 lbs. The dry weight of the boat is 5,900 lbs. Add a full 96 gallon gas tank and a 20 gallon freshwater tank at about 6 lbs per gallon is 696 lbs. Total for that is 8,396 lbs. Round that up with boating stuff and people stuff and its about 9,000 lbs. 29 ft boat. 33 ft trailer. 8ft 6in wide trailer. It just sucks that road construction had me unable to take the boat anywhere since winter ended.
