  • FOUND!... a supplier for flybridge wind shield/screen...-gctid820658

I have been waiting months (thats months, with an S) for the windscreen I ordered from a certain florida company to be queued for manufacture. the emails from them only say they are running behind schedule (my last email was not even replied to).. and no projected date of manufacture or delivery.

this is such BAD customer service regardless of the reasons.

so I continued my search for someone who could make a new windscreen for my boat (which is a 1989 so its not available from bayliner any longer), I found Midi Marine 425-883-4600 this morning and called them. it was a much simpler process than dealing with the florida company. I just told them my year and model of boat, and placed my order... they said about 10days lead time on it... probably sooner but the guy who molds the plastics was not in when I called...

then, an email confirmation with the cost and estimated shipping... I had to reply to confirm my order... now I wait....

from my experience, I would steer well clear of the florida plastics company until they decide customer service is important to the customer....

Thanks for the positive Midi Marine review but for those of us may be in the market for a new Venturi why are you afraid of sharing the name of the Florida company?

Midi Plastics is great because they have the radius molds for most popular models. They've been trying to quit the business for several years so don't wait too long

because there is only one company in florida who claims to be able to make these windscreens and if you search you can find them..... and unlike many others its not my nature to publicly name a company that I have had a bad experience with... but its not above me to tell people there is a company in the area to be wary of.

PM me and I will tell you the name of the company, and I can forward the emails for proof of what I claim, but im not going to name names on a public forum....

And... "for those of us may be in the market for a new Venturi why are you afraid of sharing the name of the Florida company?"... for those that may be in the market for a new windscreen, ive given the name of a reputable and experienced company for them to check with... a person can order from who ever they choose and it matters little to me who they choose, but we can only offer advice based on what we have experienced.

another option may be Ocean Dynamics 305-770-1800...

I am not affiliated with either company or their associates in any way, but as difficult as it was for me to find a manufacture for this older model of windscreen, I thought I would share with others a name that may be able to help them...
