DK, I grew up boating in Monterey Bay (Pre Sanctuary)

Lovely place but I don't speak spanish LOL

Plus.... well truthfully....... if I was to move back I would be considered a felon, Apparently 7 or 8 of the multiple weapons I own are not legal there.

You could go out and fish for salmon in Resurection Bay.

We're going to do that, then poke out into the gulf on Friday evening or Saturday when this will probably be all cleared up.

Remember that the gulf is a huge forecast area, look at the Seal Rocks Bouy and the Pilot Rock wind station.

Also remember that you can always boat out of Prince William Sound, or stay in Resurection Bay.

Coast Guard stop all navigation on the Missouri from South Dakota to St Louis. Except the guys who made it into a hot tub that got away.

Even Ressurection Bay has a iffy forecast this week (although it sounds good this weekend) Yup, spent 2 years there on the Mustang in the late 80's. Wife is from Seward too. Of course if the silvers are in then I could stand a bit of rough weather......

PWS is looking ok this weekend too with the exception of the rain. But then again when the forecast says 10 kts 2 feet then it will be rougher. Especially since 3 of the 4 weather buoys are either not reporting (nor have they since December) or as in 46060.

" Station 46060 went adrift on 01/26/2012 and the last report from its moored position was at 00Z. It ceased transmission on 02/09/12 and is believed to be aground"

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but what does that mean? "3 ft at 9 seconds"

Surely the waves can't be 9 secs apart?

                      Thanks Jeff

9 secs apart huh? 14 seconds?

That seems like a really long interval,,,,,I'm betting that L Champlain is more like 3 seconds.

I guess that is the diff between a big lake and an average-sized ocean!

                        west 2 to 3 at 9 + south 2 to 3 at 14 = confused seas
