So I was given this unit from the previous owner, but I'm NOT a fisherman. I'm interested in seeing how deep the water is, maybe speed and water temp. I don't care where fish are. This unit looks really nice, but I can't find a place to install it as the dash is crowded and the windshield gets in the way. It's got a huge base, so I'm trying to decide if I should sell it and buy something smaller with less options for what I need. Any suggestion, advice or pics of your depth finders installed?
