I'm considering putting a Davit crane on my 3055 to lift a Sea-Doo Spark jet ski onto the bow. The total weight including crane and ski are just over 200 kgs (450lb). I know the bow can handle this without any issue and the crane would be a low profile 250kg model that has the compression tube mounted through the cavity in the front starboard side wardrobe so there would be no visible sign of the crane from the inside.
My main intention is to remove the need for the rear mounted tender that on my boat causes it to be a little aft heavy. Having a couple of hundred kgs' on the bow would level her out nicely (When I have travelled long distances I have a 300L fuel bladder on the bow and she rides so much nicer with far less bow down trim needed).
What are people's throughs on this .. Has anyone ever done a similar thing or seen this done ??
