I read the article, clearly the ship was at fault. The owner of the small fishing boat will have a brand new one paid for by the shipping company including replacement of everything lost in the boat.

This made the Green Bay Gazette Front page. Nothing since. A major accident and no follow up reporting. Interesting. For some reason my jpg won't upload, sorry. It must be too large of a file.

The Kaye E Barker ran into the City Deck Dock at 3:30 pm while passing through the Main Street lift bridge. Within 3 feet of a cruiser when the occupants bailed out to the dock. The ship then crushed an unoccupied aluminum fishing boat. Numerous on lookers as the ship just cruised to Lake MI. This will make the Green Bay news. Cops, Coasties and Fire department all involved. The fishing boat was overturned by the side thrusher. Nobody injured, but the lift bridge was closed for several hours before inspectors allow passage. I was able to view the entire scene being video recorded and suspect the ship lost power. Just my best guess. Saw the fishing boat owners who were claiming some fairly material losses including $10k of fishing equipment. More to come.
